Natural Moods

Over the past three years I’ve been developing a series of short nature films shot on my Panasonic LUMIX GH5. Each piece pairs footage I’ve captured with music from the Planet Earth soundtracks, shaped to resonate a tone and create an experience.

• Rainbow Trout: Monterey Bay Aquarium: Playful and hopeful.
• Sea Otter: Pebble Beach: Somber and dramatic.
• Cecropia Moths: Backyard: Mysterious and vaguely sensual.

These works are part of a larger collection of footage I’ve recorded over the last five years. Editing and sharing them is an ongoing process of discovering how to present the natural world with care, without exaggeration, and with the tone that feels true to each subject.
