GradChannel Banner Ad Campaign for Motimatic

Project Overview

Created a comprehensive banner ad campaign for Motimatic’s client GradChannel, targeting prospective graduate students with motivational messaging about continuing their education. The campaign featured multiple creative concepts adapted across standard digital advertising formats.

Design Strategy

The campaign employed bold, empowering messaging with strong typographic treatments to capture attention in busy digital environments. Each creative concept used:

  • High-contrast color palettes featuring vibrant reds and clean whites against photographic backgrounds
  • Motivational language positioned as direct calls-to-action (“DON’T STOP NOW,” “RAISE YOUR GAME,” “TIME TO ELEVATE”)
  • Authentic photography showing diverse professionals and students in aspirational settings
  • Clear information hierarchy with prominent headlines, supporting copy, and strong CTAs

Creative Concepts Developed

“Don’t Stop Now” Series

Featured a confident young professional in a warm, academic environment. The torn paper effect on the headline created visual urgency while maintaining an approachable tone. This concept emphasized momentum and continuing one’s educational journey.

“Raise Your Game” Series

Showcased urban professionalism with geometric design elements and contemporary imagery. The concept appealed to career-focused individuals looking to advance through education.

“Reason #7/#52” Series

Used a numbered approach to present education as one of many smart reasons to pursue graduate school. The flying money imagery cleverly reinforced the financial benefits of advanced education, while maintaining a light, engaging tone.

“Time to Elevate/Rise” Series

Combined aspirational photography with torn paper design elements, creating a sense of breaking through barriers. The upward-looking angles in the photography reinforced the “rising” theme.

Technical Execution

Each concept was adapted across four standard banner dimensions:

  • Skyscraper (160×600) – Vertical layout maximizing headline impact
  • Medium Rectangle (300×250) – Balanced composition for content integration
  • Leaderboard (728×90) – Horizontal format optimizing limited vertical space

The campaign provided GradChannel with versatile creative assets that could be deployed across multiple digital platforms while maintaining consistent brand messaging and visual appeal.
